The ShodaiGyao (初代ギャオ?) is the Gyaos suit design used in the 1967 and 1969 Gamera films, Gamera vs. Gyaos and Gamera vs. Guiron.

Name[]

The ShodaiGyao's name comes from shodai (初代?), meaning first generation, and Gyao, which comes from Gyaos (ギャオス?).

The ShodaiSupesuGyao's name comes from shodai (初代?), meaning first generation, and UchuGyao, which comes from Space Gyaos's Japanese name, Uchū Gyaosu (宇宙ギャオス?).

Detail[]

ShodaiGyao resembles a bat with a flat, triangular head. It has a head that closely resembles a pteranodon. It is colored black with orange stripes.

ShodaiUchuGyao is the same as the ShodaiGyao, but painted silver.
