Gamera

The RegionGame is the Gamera suit design used in the 1996 Gamera film, Gamera 2: Attack of Legion.

Name[]

The RegionGame's name comes from another monster's name in Gamera 2: Attack of Legion, Legion (レギオン,   Region?), and Game which comes from Gamera's name.

Detail[]

The RegionGame suit is similar to the previous suit, but has some minor differences. The RegionGame suit's arms now have extensions on them which would lock into points on the suit when it was being used for flight scenes. The RegionGame suit's head is also slightly different to the HeiseiGame suit, and the bones of its skull are more defined. The suit's tusks are also slightly longer. The pattern of plates on the belly were also made larger so that the Mana Blast attack could be animated. This suit, alongside the IrisuGame suit, was made with softer materials in some parts, so that it could be damaged realistically by the Mother and Soldier Legion suits and puppets during filming.

This suit was later refurbished and used in Gamera 3: Revenge of Iris as Nightmare Gamera (トラウマガメラ,   Torauma Gamera?, lit. Trauma Gamera). The suit was modified to more closely resemble the new Gamera suit, but was given spiky growths all over its body and white pupil-less eyes.
